Understanding the piezoelectric response of ZnO nanotetrapods: Detailed numerical calculations

چکیده
The complex tetrapod shape of zinc oxide nanostructure, which is constructed from four one-dimensional arms interconnected together via a central core, special 3D geometry with multifunctional applications in advanced technologies. ZnO hexagonal wurtzite crystal lattice non-centrosymmetric structure introduces interesting piezoelectric property nanorods the bent state, has been well reported and utilized piezo- tribo-electric nanogenerator applications. Considering broad technological relevance tetrapods, it important to understand response tetrapods under different conditions. In this study, we explicate fundamental mechanical electrical properties nanotetrapods (ZnO NTs) through detailed finite element method analysis. On basis, effects factors (including length, height, aspect ratio) as connection strength packing density on deformation potential NTs are examined, offering guidance for fabrication NTs.
